Notice of Award!
​07/2026 – Our lab is officially NIH funded! We are excited to receive an NIGMS R35 MIRA to investigate the epigenetic control of tissue regeneration across species and life stages. We are grateful to everyone who made this possible and look forward to the exciting science ahead!

​05/2025 - Our first lab publication is out! We review mechanisms of CNS regeneration in zebrafish and neonatal mice. Why can they regenerate, while we cannot? ​

03/2025 - Barera Ajaz and Abhiram Chilakamarri have been selected for the 2025 Vanderbilt Undergraduate Summer Research Program (VUSRP) and will each receive a $6,000 stipend to conduct full-time research in the lab this summer!

Grant Award
01/2025 - We have been awarded a VINSE Pilot Award to elucidate mechanisms of spinal cord regeneration. ​
